    Dock levelers move up or down to meet the trailer bed so that forklifts can make a smooth, safe transition into and out of the trailer and reduce the effects of dock shock, the jarring that occurs when a lift truck crosses between the warehouse floor and trailer bed due to bumps and gaps that exist on traditional levelers. Dock shock causes employee back and neck injuries, product damage, and increased repair costs. Rite-Hite’s new Smooth Transition Dock Leveler, part of the Smooth Transition Dok System, reduces that rear hinge gap, minimizing dock shock and its consequences. Smooth Transition is standard on the Rite-Hite hydraulic (RHH), air-powered (RHA) and mechanical levelers (RHM).
