DID YOU KNOW? There's a new UL safety standard for commercial door operators. Changes to UL325 went into effect August 29, 2010.* The previous UL325 standard allowed for a connection of a reversing edge switch that would reverse the door upon contact with an obstruction.
Now, any UL-listed commercial operator manufactured after August 29 requires: Constant pressure to close, OR Connection of a monitored external entrapment protection device (such as a photo eye)
